About

Debbie works with Asian women and leaders who are used to holding everything together at work, in their families, at work, and in their communities, but are quietly asking themselves, what about me? As the eldest daughter of Chinese immigrant parents, she understands the unspoken responsibility many Asian women carry, especially the eldest daughter. The pressure to be dependable. To not rock the boat. To succeed in ways that make others proud, even at the cost of their own voice. Her coaching supports women in untangling those inherited expectations from what is actually true for them. With over 17 years of experience in leadership and talent development at organizations like PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Wells Fargo, and Target, Debbie brings both deep organizational insight and a grounded, human approach to growth. Her work blends narrative coaching and embodiment practices to help clients: - Reclaim their voice and speak with clarity - Move from over responsibility to shared responsibility - Lead with confidence instead of self doubt - Make decisions rooted in self trust, not obligation Debbie creates spaces where Asian women can be fully seen, not just for what they do, but for who they are becoming. Her work is grounded in the belief that when we reconnect with ourselves, we don’t just change our own lives, we begin to shift what’s possible for the generations that come after us. Areas of Expertise: - Transitioning from management to leadership - Leadership presence and confidence - Reclaiming voice and self-advocacy - Navigating cultural and family expectations - Overcoming people-pleasing and self-doubt - Delegation and shared leadership - Embodied leadership and sustainable change - Career and leadership transitions

Why AWCC?

I am interested in being a member of AWCC because I deeply believe in the power of community, especially for Asian women coaches. In a world that often isolates us through systemic challenges, cultural expectations, and societal pressures, having a collective where we can support, uplift, and challenge each other is invaluable. My journey in coaching has shown me the importance of safe spaces where we can share our experiences, grow together, and find strength in one another. Being in a group of like-minded Asian women who understand the nuances of our identities, struggles, and aspirations is not just a desire—it’s a necessity for thriving.
