In my 30+ years of professional, management, and leadership experience, I worked in the private, nonprofit, and public sectors—particularly in youth- and family-serving systems for systems change and social innovation. I started my career as an account executive in a management consulting firm in Japan fresh out of college, where I gained hands-on experience working with C-suite executives. I rebuilt my career in the U.S. by starting out as a communication specialist in a sales consulting firm to enter the Asia Pacific markets. I reinvented myself a few more times, from taking fractional work while raising my children, to returning to the workforce full-time in a non-profit organization, and on to working for systems and policy change work in the public sector. My career includes roles as a human services policy director, project manager, research associate, program development officer, and innovation coordinator.
